Trump: Iran Still Has Some Military Capabilities, Though Limited

US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran still possesses some remaining military capabilities, but they are not very significant.

Speaking at an event organized by the Faith & Freedom Coalition on Friday (June 26), Trump stated, “Our conflict with Iran is not yet fully over. They possess some capabilities, but these are very limited. They are not achieving any major successes. Nevertheless, they still retain the capability to carry out attacks.”

He added, “A large commercial vessel has already been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. Four drones were used in that incident. We shot down three of them, but one drone managed to inflict some damage on the ship.”

Notably, an attack on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz occurred last Thursday, to which Trump was referring in his remarks.

In response to this attack, the US military launched retaliatory strikes on various Iranian targets. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that on Friday, they attacked Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, as well as coastal radar installations.
