India is now the world’s trusted defense partner: Narendra Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commented that India is emerging as the world’s trusted defense partner. He also stated that India is strengthening its own defense system.

Modi made these remarks on Sunday (July 26) during his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. At this time, he praised the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War.

Modi said, “In the 1999 Kargil War, despite challenging weather and enemy challenges, Indian soldiers showed extraordinary bravery against Pakistan. Kargil Vijay Diwas makes us proud. It reminds us of the courage of our soldiers.”

Mentioning India’s emergence as a global defense partner, Modi said, “India is emerging as a globally trusted defense partner, while simultaneously enhancing its own defense system.”

The Indian Prime Minister further added that in early July, he visited Indonesia. There, a major deal was signed with Indonesia concerning Indian-made BrahMos missiles and other weapons systems.

Additionally, the Indian Prime Minister informed that India successfully tested long-range guided rockets this month. He stated, “Behind this success lies the hard work of our scientists and engineers. Just two to three days ago, we also successfully tested the Kusha missile.”

Modi also mentioned Vikram-1, India’s first private spacecraft, which was launched last week.
