Bitpanda has launched the Bitpanda Cup – Build Your Squad campaign, a football-themed promotion that is giving users the chance to win a share of a €33,000 cash prize pool by investing through the platform.

The campaign is live now, runs until 19 July 2026, and is built around a familiar idea for anyone who follows football: a strong squad is not made up of one type of player. You need a team playing different roles, different strengths, and an overall strategy that can hold together across a full season.

You can see the parallels with football, or any sports team for that matter, and Bitpanda’s campaign encourages users to explore the full range of assets available on the platform – from crypto-assets to stocks, ETFs, ETCs, commodities, and precious metals.

Because it is not about backing one asset and hoping it carries the whole team, but seeing how different instruments can sit together inside one account.

Every verified Bitpanda user can opt in to the Bitpanda Cup and receive one free entry into the main prize draw. After that, users can earn additional entries by investing €26 in eligible assets during the campaign period. Entries are capped at 26 per user.

The main prize draw will split €33,000 between 11 winners. Users can also qualify for weekly football-linked draws, with the chance to win two VIP tickets for a match next season involving one of Bitpanda’s partner teams. To qualify for a weekly ticket draw, a user needs to make at least one eligible €26 investment during the relevant week.

The main draw runs across the full promotion period, and the weekly draws give active users another reason to take part before the final deadline.

The “Build Your Squad” theme aligns with Bitpanda’s broader goal as a multi-asset investment platform rather than a single-market crypto app. A user can buy crypto-assets, but they can also access stocks, ETFs, ETCs, commodities, and precious metals from the same account. The campaign puts that range into a strategy that is easy to understand without turning it into a lecture about portfolio theory.

If you are looking to build a portfolio, you may find crypto appealing for potential higher-growth exposure. Stocks and ETFs can offer access to companies, sectors, commodities, and broader market themes, and ETCs can add exposure to specific commodities or asset classes through exchange-traded products.

None of that means every asset belongs in every portfolio, but users have more than one instrument available when deciding how to build their own mix.

For existing Bitpanda users, the campaign is a reason to look beyond the assets they normally buy. A crypto-first user may decide to explore metals or ETFs, or a user who usually sticks with traditional-style instruments may decide to look at crypto assets in a controlled way.

For new users, the process starts with account verification and opt-in. Once opted in through Bitpanda Cup, the user receives a free entry and can earn additional entries through eligible investments made before the campaign closes.

It’s a reminder of diversification – a portfolio made from only one type of asset may be like a team made entirely of strikers. Exciting at first glance, but a squad needs attackers, defenders, midfielders, and a goalkeeper. You might agree that the same logic applies to investing, where different assets can serve different purposes.

So Bitpanda is not telling users what to buy, but the campaign is designed to show the breadth of what is available on the platform and give users a reason to think about how different instruments can work together.

The Bitpanda Cup runs until 19 July 2026. Users who opt in receive 1 free entry, with 1 additional entry available for every eligible €26 investment during the campaign window, up to a maximum of 26 entries.

Eleven winners will share the €33,000 cash prize pool, while weekly draws will give eligible users the chance to win VIP football tickets for next season.
